Drive to Leh take some memorable snaps on the way. Enroute enjoy the breath-taking scenery. Visit Mulbek Monastery, Fotula pass, Namkila pass, Lamayuru monastery - The oldest monastery in Ladakh, Photo stop at Moon landscape resembles the Lunar surface. DAY 4: LEH: |
Leh Local Sightseeing Visit Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace ( Photo Stop), Sindhu Ghat. Post lunch- Visit Hall of fame. Evening free for Shopping. Stay at Nubra. (B, L, D) |
DAY 5: LEH - KHARDUNGLA PASS - NUBRA: |
Drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers & the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla Pass. This road is considered to be the highest Motorable road of the world. Enroute admire the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,390 feet), spend some time at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra. Hotel check-in, Evening Enjoy Hunder Sand dune double humped Bactrian camel Safari Ride at own. Stay at Nubra. (B, L, D) |
DAY 6: NUBRA - TURTUK - NUBRA: |
After breakfast drive to Turtuk village which is the last village nearest to the Indo-Pakistan border, Also famous for its best quality Apricot fruits. Visit the Monestry, Polo Ground, Natural Fridge & Kings Palace Stay at Nubra. (B, L, D) |
DAY 7: NUBRA - LEH: |
Visit Maitriya Buddha & drive back to Leh. Evening visit Shanti Stupa a Peace Pagoda, erected by Japanese Buddhists & Inaugurated by the Dalai Lama. Stay at Leh (B, L, D) |
DAY 8: LEH - PANGONG - LEH: |
Drive to Pangong Lake, Enroute visit Chang La pass (5475 Mts). The drive takes you through spectacular, amazing scenery, with breath-taking views of the snow-covered Himalayas, Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.), largest brackish water lake of Asia, is 4-5 kms wide & about 135 kms long of which two-third portion lies on the other side of the Indo-China border.
